NFL sources Friday said the Minnesota Vikings are not interested in Seattle Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, according to Judd Zulgad and Chip Scoggins of the Star Tribune.
League sources Friday evening said the Vikings, among other teams, made a trade offer to the Seahawks regarding Houshmandzadeh, according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
A Seahawks source Saturday morning said the Vikings did not make a trade offer to the Seahawks and aren’t interested in him, according to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities.
Houshmanzadah will be released Saturday by the Seahawks after failing to trade him, according to multiple reports.
Now a source said the Vikings released receiver Javon Walker to sign receiver Houshmanzadah, according to FOX 6 Sports Milwauke. And according to the same source, the Vikings already signed Houshmanzadah.
Recap: The Vikings are not interested in Houshmanzadah and the Vikings made an offer for him anyway — but, it turns out they did not make an offer to the him, although they eventually signed him.

Update: And of course Adam Schefter of ESPN.com says Houshmanzadah has not even spoken with the Vikings at this point.
Update: A source with knowledge of the situation says the Vikings have not signed Houshmandzadeh, contrary to report from FOX 6 in Wisconsin, according to NBC Sports.
