Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Scott Baker left after just two innings in his start Thursday night because of elbow soreness.
Manager Ron Gardenhire said Baker is expected to miss his next two starts, according to Jon Krawczynski of the Canadian Press.
The right-hander has been pitching through elbow tendinitis on his pitching arm this season. Baker, who already received cortisone shots for his elbow earlier in the season, received a cortisone shot after leaving the game and said on Friday that his elbow already is feeling a little better.
