Edwards fined by NFL; Henderson next?

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards has been fined $5,000 for a late hit in Saturday’s preseason game against Seattle, an NFL spokesman said on Friday.

The play occurred early in the third quarter during a fake bootleg. Edwards was flagged for roughing the passer on the play.

Speaking of fines, linebacker Erin Henderson is expected to get fined by the NFL next week for throwing a football into the stands after recovering and returning a fumble for a touchdown.
