Don’t look now.. Span is on a mini-hitting streak

Minnesota Twins center fielder Denard Span has seen his share of struggles at the plate this season, and the struggles have even translated onto his defense.

While some may say Span should see reduced playing time – or even benched, he on the right track to finish the season strong.

Span is on a 6-game hitting streak, batting .360 in that time span, and raised his batting average 5 points, to make it .270 for the season.

Yes, it’s only 6 games, but you can tell his demeanor has changed at the plate and in the outfield. Sometimes just a change in attitude is enough for a player to get hot again.

“I wanna think everybody that has supported me and believed in me,” Span posted on Twitter following the game on Tuesday. “It really means a lot to me!”
