The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday morning the signing of receiver Javon Walker.
The team released running back Ryan Moats to make room for Walker on the roster.
Walker participated in practice immediately after signing his contract. He ran a few routes and caught balls from the team’s quarterbacks.
Many folks in the media don’t expect Walker to even make the opening day roster. Walker has been a victim of injuries for the past few seasons and is coming off a recent knee surgery.
With the injury to receiver Sidney Rice, Walker will be given plenty of opportunities to earn his spot on the roster and play a role on this offense.
