Minnesota Timberwolves 2009 first-round pick point guard Ricky Rubio continues to say the right things, making Wolves fans very hopeful.
Pete Thamel of the New York Times posted an interesting article about the hyped up Spanish guard. Thamel was able to get some comments regarding the Rubio situation from team president David Kahn and the point guard himself.
“He has a buyout at the end of next season, and that will be a more appropriate time to talk to him more specifically about that,” Kahn said. “All in due time. He’s 19.”
When brought up about the notion of playing in Minnesota, Rubio had some good comments about his potential future home.
“Everyone is talking like Minneapolis is not a good city to live, but I think that it’s a great city to live,” Rubio said. “O.K., the weather is not so good. But there’s a lot of things to do there, a lot of sports to watch and centers to go. I think it’s a great city.”
Looks like Rubio could become a Minnesota Twins, Vikings or Wild fan as well.
