The Minnesota Twins’ bullpen is getting worked pretty hard this season with pitchers failing to get quality starts.
According to Patrick Reusse of 1500 ESPN Radio, right-hander Jeff Manship is on his way to Chicago to give the Twins another arm, with left-hander Jose Mijares expected to go on the disabled list. Manship was originally scheduled to start Friday for Rochester.
Reusse aslo reports that left-hander Glen Perkins will remain on the active roster with Mijares injured and should be ready to work out of bullpen by Saturday or Sunday.
Manship has appeared in 5 games for the Twins this season with one start. He has a 2.45 ERA in 14.2 innings of work with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.
