Favre Says He’ll Play if Healthy; Not About Money

Jim Souhan of the Star Tribune went to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to check up on Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.

According to Souhan, Favre was on the practice field at Oak Grove High school Wednesday morning making some light passes and did not run.  Souhan got a chance to talk to Favre and Favre said it’s not about money, that he hasn’t made a decision yet, and if he’s healthy he’ll play.  Says it’s about his ankle.

Scott Hanson of NFL Network and Ed Werder of ESPN.com made identical reports Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Favre told Souhan that he did not text Vikings players that he was retiring.  When told tight end Visanthe Shiancoe said he did, Favre chuckled and said, “That’s Shank.”
