Childress: Jackson still over Rosenfels on depth chart

Seconds after I posted a blog about the roster situation between quarterbacks Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson, I noticed a report by Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press about the roster situation between Rosenfels and Jackson.

Per the report, Jackson is the clear backup to quarterback Brett Favre and Rosenfels’ impressive preseason doesn’t seem to be enough to bump him above third string.

“It’d probably be hard for it to change,” coach Brad Childress said.

Jackson has seen limited playing time so far this preseason, but he may see extended playing time in the final preseason game.  Jackson would like to see more playing time that game.

“We’ll see what happens,” Jackson said.
