The Minnesota Timberwolves are in final trade talks that will send reserve point guard Ramon Sessions to the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Brian Windhort of The Plain Dealer.
According to the report, the Timberwolves may also package center Ryan Hollins in the deal. It is unknown what the Cavaliers would send back in return, but it is speculated that point guard Delonte West is involved because of his valuable contract.
West’s contract for $4.6 million is only guaranteed for $500,000 if waived by August 5, meaning the Timberwolves would likely waive him immediately.
Sessions has three years left on his four-year $16 million deal he signed last summer. Hollins has two years and about $4.7 million left on a contract he signed last summer.
Looks like team president David Kahn is working on yet another salary dump, this time involving Sessions and possibly Hollins.
