The Minnesota Twins had a few injury scares in Wednesday night’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
First baseman was taken out of the game after sliding into second base. He was shaken up and was able to get up on his own, but was replaced at first base by outfielder Michael Cuddyer.
Update: Morneau took a knee to head and had a headache after game, according to Kelly Thesier of MLB.com.
Outfielder Delmon Young collided wither outfielder Denard Span while tracking down a ball in the outfield that resulted in a in-the-park home run. Trainers checked out Young’s left hand, but Young stayed in the game.
Both players are day-to-day, according to Joe Christensen of the Star Tribune. Morneau got his bell rung, and Young is listed as having a sprained left wrist.
