Minnesota Twins’ shortstop J.J. Hardy injured his left wrist while sliding into third base in Tuesday night’s game against the Detroit Tigers.
Hardy’s wrist injury doesn’t appear to be serious and he should miss one or two games, according to Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com. Infielder Alexi Casilla replaced Hardy in the lineup for the afternoon game on Wednesday.
Hardy said the wrist isn’t swollen and doesn’t want to be counted out for Thursday’s series opener against Baltimore.
