The Minnesota Vikings are looking to add another former Green Bay Packer to their roster.
Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports the Vikings scheduled a visit with free-agent defensive end Mike Montgomery for Monday, according to NFL sources.
Mongomery was released by the Packers this month, and according to Zulgad, was not a good fit for the Packer’s 3-4 scheme. The Packers drafted him in the sixth-round out of Texas A&M in 2005.
Montgomery, 26, had his best season in 2008, when he had 2.5 sacks and 59 tackles in 14 games. The eight starts that year was the only starts of his career.
