The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with recovering injuries from both of their starting cornerbacks, so it would not be surprising if the Vikings address that position in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Joe Fortenbaugh and Wes Bunting of the National Football Post reports the Vikings and Green Bay Packers have private workouts scheduled with cornerback Chris Cook of UVA. According to their scouting report, Cook is considered a great man-to-man coverage defensive back, but lacks a bit in off-coverage.
Cook is projected as a late second-round to mid-round pick, and is capable of playing cornerback as well as free safety.
Scott Wright of NFL Draft Countdown ranks him as the 11th best cornerback prospect in the draft.
