Update: Jackson agreed to a two-year deal with the Eagles. (03/10/10)
Chip Scoggins (Star Tribune) via Twitter reports a source told him the Vikings are interested in cornerback Marlin Jackson, who was not tendered by the Indianapolis Colts.
Jackson, 26, has been battling serious knee injuries. Jackson appeared in only the first four games of last season before tearing his ACL.
Minnesota Sports Zone’s Take:
He tore the ACL in his left knee last season after tearing the ACL in his right knee in 2008. Many believed his career was over at that point.
Jackson is known as a great man-to-man coverage guy, but injuries to both of his knees greatly changes things. The Vikings should be able to sign Jackson to a low risk/high reward-type contract.
