Twins To Sign Mauer By Sunday?
The Common Man (KFAN radio) via Twitter reports the Minnesota Twins will sign catcher Joe Mauer by Sunday to a eight-year, $22 million a year deal with options for years nine and ten.
According to Common Man, Mauer will earn $176 million for the first eight years of the contract with a chance to earn even more in his option years. It is not clear if the options are team, player or mutual.
