Twins, Span Agree To Five-Year Deal

The Minnesota Twins signed center fielder Denard Span to a five-year $16.5 million extension according to Joe Christensen of the Star Tribune.

The team holds a club option for 2015 at $9 million.

The TwinsNow Twitter account for the Pioneer Press reports he will earn $750,000 in 2010, $1 million in 2011, $3 million in 2012, $4.75 million in 2013, $6.5 million in 2014, and a $9 million option in 2015 with $500k buyout.
