Tomlinson Chooses The Jets Over Vikings

Free-agent running back LaDainian Tomlinson agreed to a two-year deal with the New York Jets, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The report doesn’t come as a big surprise, considering several sources on Sunday reported that Tomlinson was expected to choose the Jets over the Minnesota Vikings.

What the Vikings choose to do next is a mystery.  Coach Brad Childress is reportedly high on running back Albert Young, and there are some veteran free-agent options available.

A real possibility could be to draft a running back in the upcoming draft, because running backs are considered a deep crop this year.

Update:  The NY Daily News reports Tomlinson got $5.2 million over two years from Jets.  The deal could be worth as much as $5.7 million.
