Jason LaCanfora (NFL Network) reports Minnesota Vikings’ free-agent defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy is scheduled to visit with the Buffalo Bills Thursday, according to a league source.
LcCanfora said the Bills are trying to rebuild both their offensive and defensive lines and signed tackle Cornell Green earlier this week.
Minnesota Sports Zone’s Take:
Don’t freak out Vikings’ fans, Kennedy is expected to visit with teams. The Vikings already met with the agent of Kennedy earlier and expressed their strong desire to re-sign him.
The only thing that would pry him away from the Vikings is a starting opportunity. Even so, Kennedy could easily become a starter for the Vikings this season with a possible suspension for the Williams’ brothers. At the very least, Kennedy can replace Pat who is turning 38 after this season.
