Sam Amick (Sacramento Bee) reports the Sacramento Kings may be interested in trading shooting guard Kevin Martin and speculated on whether the Minnesota Timberwolves would be interested in letting go either power forward/center Al Jefferson or power forward Kevin Love in exchange for Martin.
Martin for sure seems to be on the block and the Dallas Mavericks have shown certain interest. It makes sense that Jefferson and Love are being talked about in trade speculations ever since Wolves’ president David Kahn reportedly tried to trade Jefferson for Indiana Pacer’s forward Danny Granger.
It appears that Kahn is receiving many trade offers for Jefferson heading up to the trade deadline. Kahn previously stated that he will not trade Jefferson before the trade deadline.
Kahn has also previously stated that he expects the Timberwolves to be a playoff team in two years. Martin, 27, will be 29 when the Timberwolves “project” to be a playoff contender.
