Mike Wobschall (Vikings.com Blog) reports the Minnesota Vikings did not use the transition and/or the franchise tag on their players, as the deadline ended Thursday at 3 p.m. central time.
None of the Vikings’ free-agents were expected to be tagged. According to Wobschall, the only real possibility would have been using a tag for running back Chester Taylor, although even that move would be eye opening.
Minnesota Sports Zone’s Take:
The Vikings did not have a worthy candidate for the franchise tag, so no surprise here. Only six total teams used their tag.
