Minnesota Twins’ infielder prospect Steve Tolleson has been claimed by the Oakland A’s after being waived from the 40-man roster in order to make room for designated hitter/first baseman Jim Thome.
Tolleson, 25, finished last season with AAA Rochester and is rated as one of the organization’s top 30 to 40 prospects by many league scouts. Tolleson was drafted in the 5th round of the 2005 amateur entry draft.
