The Minnesota Timberwolves have temporarily sent power forward Nathan Jawai to their D-League affiliate early Friday so team president David Kahn can evaluate his conditioning in ‘extended playing time’ this weekend for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, who have back-to-back games.
Jawai is only averaging 10.8 minutes in 36 games this season with the Timberwolves. The addition of center Darko Milicic also likely means Jawai’s playing time could decline even more when he rejoins the Timberwolves’ roster.
Milicic was at the team’s shootaround Friday morning before the day’s game against the Chicago Bulls. The team says Milicic will not be active for that game.
