David Dorsey (News-Press) reports Minnesota Twins’ pitcher Kevin Slowey is ready to return after being shut down last season with a wrist injury.
Slowey described his surgery as a reconstructive surgery. He said his wrist feels different and that there are two screws in it.
“They had to cut down some tendons and pull out some tissue and bones that were no longer necessary and just kind of floating around in there,” Slowey said. “It was about 15 weeks of rehab to get back to full movement.”
Minnesota Sports Zone’s Take:
Slowey’s surgery is a slight concern for fantasy drafters and owners, but his injury is much less drastic compared to other injuries where players were able to return the very next year.
Slowey is certainly projected to start the season on the opening day roster.
