Casilla Gives No.25 To Thome

By Nam Huynh on Friday, 5th February 2010 Casilla Gives No.25 To Thome thumbnail

Minnesota Twins’ second baseman Alexi Casilla gave newly acquired designated hitter/first baseman Jim Thome his jersey number of 25.

Thome will likely give Casilla something back in return.

This all won’t matter anyway, because Casilla has been the subject of many trade rumors especially since the signing of second baseman Orlando Hudson.  Casilla doesn’t hold much value as a reserve player because he is, for the most part, limited to second base.
