Seth Kaplan (Fox 9 Sports) via Twitter reports Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback Cedric Griffin had a successful ACL surgery Thursday.
“The agent for Vikings CB Cedric Griffin tells FOX 9, Griffin had successful ACL surgery today,” Kaplan said via Twitter. “Griffin is doing well and ready for rehab.”
As we posted earlier on our site, a torn ACL will take six to nine months to heal and rehabilitate to playing form. At this point, returning midway next season is considered a “best-case” scenario considering the physical demands on an NFL defensive back.
