Cornerback Situation Concerns The Team

Judd Zulgad (Star Tribune) reports Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback Antoine Winfield scheduled to see a foot specialist in North Carolina within the next two weeks.

According to Zulgad’s report, coach Brad Childress denied the report that Winfield re-injured his foot.  “I think he’s just hurting from the end of the season,” Childress said via the Star Tribune. “He should be fine.”

Zulgad also mentioned that cornerback Cedric Griffin’s torn ACL has a recovery time of six to nine months, meaning Griffin could miss some – if not all of next season.  Re-signing cornerback Benny Sapp is likely a top priority for the Vikings this offseason.

No need to worry about losing Winfield! He’s worthless & so is Sapp! These guys can’t play man to man coverage. I’ve seen high school and college player’s that could beat these two out for their jobs!!
