Viking Stadium Update

Cory Merrifield (SaveTheVikes.org) posted some promising news regarding the Minnesota Vikings and the push for a brand new stadium.

Of the collection of updates, Merrifield mentions Senator Dick Day resigning as Senate minority leader to lobby full time for the Racino bill. This bill could potentially help pay for a new Vikings’ stadium and keep the Vikings in Minnesota.

This is a good read and Merrifield provides numerous e-mail links to local government officials who can affect the future of the Vikings.

Update: Governor Tim Pawlenty recently told the Star Tribune that he does not support expansion of gambling in Minnesota, meaning he is a non-supporter of the Racino bill. This is big news since Day said earlier that Pawlenty would sign it.

Thanks for the pingback and post Nam! We have to keep at this battle and continue to press our state leaders to take action.

No problem. I’m glad someone took the initiative to gather fans and do something like this. Props to you.
