The Minnesota Twins are among a few teams interested in utility player Robb Quinlan.
Last year with the Los Angeles Angels, he played first base, third base and both corner outfield spots. The Twins allowed infielder’s Brian Buscher and Joe Crede to leave this offseason, and the team lacks depth at the corner infield and outfield spots.
Quinlan, a Minnesota native, is known as a solid defensive player, but has as a little pop to his bat. He has a .281 career batting average with a .326 on base percentage.
The 32-year-old earned $1.1 million last season, and could easily see his salary raise for 2010. The Colorado Rockies are known to also have interest in Quinlan.
