Pat Williams Not Playing Against The Bears

Minnesota Vikings’ defensive end Pat Williams will not suite up for the team when they play against the Chicago Bears Monday night.

Williams injured his elbow and has been listed as questionable this week.  Defensive end Jimmy Kennedy will replace Williams in the starting lineup.

The move to sit out Williams appears to be precautionary, because a source close to the team said he would play if it were a playoff game.

Update:  Other Vikings’ inactives: receiver Jaymar Johnson, cornerback Karl Paymah, tight end Garrett Mills, linebacker J Leman, center Jon Cooper, and defense end Jayme Mitchell and Sage Rosenfels. (12/28/09)
