Gomes Injury Update; To Have MRI Tuesday

Minnesota Timberwolves’ forward Ryan Gomes did not play Monday night, after injuring his left ankle and knee.

The ankle injury appears to be minimal but the team is more concerned about his ankle.  Gomes is scheduled to have an MRI exam when the team returns home Tuesday.

“I don’t think it’s that serious, Gomes said.  “I have a little pain but if it was really bad, I probably wouldn’t be able to walk on it right now.”

Update:  Gomes will at least miss Wednesday’s game and possibly more after an MRI revealed a high ankle sprain.  He is officially listed as day-to-day.
