Minnesota Timberwolves’ forward Kevin Love underwent a successful surgery on Tuesday evening to repair a fracture (fourth metacarpal) in his left hand.
Love is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks.
Forward/center Al Jefferson will stay home for the remaining two preseason games, to recover from flu/cold type symptoms (not to mention stop the risk of infecting teammates) and rest his Achilles, as well as his surgically repaired knee. His knee appears to be holding up fine, but has yet to see extended playing time.
Jefferson will return to the team when the season begins, but his status is still in doubt. He will meet with trainers just before the season to check on everything, but he will likely be worked in slowly at the start of the season regardless of how promising his physical health is.
