The Minnesota Twins are expected to pick up outfielder (recently first baseman) Michael Cuddyer’s $10.5 million team option for 2011. The team has only five days after the end of this year’s World Series to pick up the option, or else they could decline and he will receive a $1 million buyout.
We got a tip that barring a serious injury from now until the end of the season, the Twins will “absolutely” pick up Cuddyer’s option.
Cuddyer, 30, currently has a career-high 30 home runs so far this season. No doubt that his recent surge has helped the team’s decision for picking up his option.
