Sean Jensen (Pioneer Press) reports Minnesota Vikings’ receiver/punt returner Darius Reynaud’s leg is fine and is expected to play in Monday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Reynaud left Sunday’s game in the third quarter after suffering a leg injury, and receiver Bernard Berrian took over his punt return duties.
This injury update is good news because Reynaud has done a good job returning punts, practically snatching the punt-returner position from receiver Jaymar Johnson before the season. According to Jensen, Reynaud presently has the league’s second-best punt returner, averaging 17.3 yards per punt.
