NBA Getting Involved With The Rubio Buyout?

Minnesota Timberwolves’ President David Kahn and point guard Ricky Rubio’s agent Dan Fegan are working hard in the negotiation process with DKV Joventut.  According to a source, the National Basketball Association sent representatives as well, to assist Kahn and Fegan at their attempt at getting Rubio out of his contract with the Spanish team.

It is not known who the NBA representatives are, but they are presumably NBA executives.

The NBA would like to have the most-talked-about point guard phenom in it’s league this year.  Having Rubio wear a Timberwolves’ jersey not only benefits the team, but benefits the league as well.  The advertising tactic of having Rubio play an opposing team will be interesting for their team’s fans, as well as all fans around the world to watch.

There are so many match-ups that are “must-see-tv”.  Lining up Rubio against players to the likes of point guards’ Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, and Chris Paul is exciting because of their Olympic games match-up.  Even seeing Rubio play against fellow Spanish National team’s guard Rudy Fernandez and forward Pau Gasol are expected to draw National attention.

The match-ups are endless.
