Minnesota Twins third baseman Joe Crede will get his sore shoulder examined by specialist Lewis Yocum on Thursday morning in Southern California before the team starts a series against the LA Angels. The Twins want to see the extent of the injury and make sure there are no major structural damage.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire says the team won’t know more about his injury until Thursday, but will definitely miss today’s game against Oakland at 2:25 pm.
Crede returned to the Twins’ lineup Tuesday, after missing the previous two games due to shoulder soreness. Crede said his shoulder felt a lot better the morning before the game so he went back in the lineup.
The third baseman made it through all 10 innings in last night’s game against the Oakland A’s, but apparently still felt a little discomfort afterwords.
If his shoulder checks out, Crede could return to the lineup sometime during the Angels’ series.
