The Vikings agreed to terms with fifth-round draft pick, linebacker Jasper Brinkley. The Vikings did not immediately release the terms of the contract, but Adam Caplan of Scout.com reports the deal is likely a four-year deal and should be worth about $1.93 million with a signing bonus around $184,000.
Brinkley joins seventh-round safety Jamarca Sanford, who signed a four-year deal with the Vikings last week. The Vikings still need to reach contract agreements with first-round wide receiver Percy Harvin, second-round offensive tackle Phil Loadholt and third-round cornerback Asher Allen.
Brinkley is expected to earn time on the special teams unit, and could push for a top reserve role for all three linebacker positions.
